Digital Content Preservation
RIISDS is committed to the permanent and accessible preservation of its digital collection to ensure long-term availability of knowledge.
Preservation Strategies
-
Local Archive: The journal maintains backups of all its files (XML, PDF, metadata) on institutional servers of the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Tantoyuca.
-
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): RIISDS participates in the PKP distributed preservation network, which allows for automatic storage of contents on multiple geographically dispersed servers.
-
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): The journal is enabled to be harvested by the LOCKSS system, allowing participating libraries to maintain authorized local copies.
Access to the Historical Collection
Due to the requirements established by indexing bodies, all content published from 2022 onwards is offered in open access on the journal's official website, with no subscription or registration barriers:
https://revista-riisds.mx/index.php/RIISDS/issue/archive
Meanwhile, issues published from 2015 to 2021 are available on a secondary portal, whose functionality and digital preservation have the same institutional backing:
https://numeros-anteriores.revista-riisds.mx/index.php?journal=RIISDS&page=issue&op=archive
Technological Migration
In the event of changes to the platform or editorial software, RIISDS will guarantee the complete and faithful migration of all contents, metadata, and DOI identifiers.
