Implementation of Lean Six Sigma to the Production Process in a Trading Company

In the present work, the process of implementing the Lean Six Sigma methodology is described, with the main objective of reducing the amounts of scrap presented in a Trading Company, where the scrap represent various losses that affect the process and large amounts of defective product are obtained, for this purpose, each of the parts of the process is analyzed to detect the failures that cause the problem, in turn using the DMAIC methodology to facilitate development and analysis.
This section also shows the data obtained before and after the application of the methodology by which the viability is defined and observed and the way in which the analysis carried out has repercussions, resulting in the reduction in relation to the generation of scrap at 12.5% achieving annual savings of $155,347.2 and therefore the reduction of defective products, where the Sigma level automatically increases to 6 with a performance of 99.999%.
