Abstract

The project originated from the identification of significant difficulties faced by civil associations in the city of H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, in communicating their donation needs to the local population.  As a potential solution, it was proposed to identify existing needs and design a web application. The context of civil associations in Mexico is complex due to the lack of mechanisms for the injection of government resources, resulting in a constant need to request support from civil society through donations to meet their needs. The proposed website is a technological tool for donation management, designed in PHP version 7.4, the Yii2 Framework and PostgresSQL 15. The resulting design is a web application with filters, menus, categories, and spaces where associations can share their needs.  Furthermore, the design also provides a space for the general public to identify existing needs, make donations, and keep a record of their participation. The developed design responds to the identified needs and meets the stated objectives.

Liliana Socorro Martínez, Tecnológico Nacional de México - Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros

Professor Liliana Socorro Martínez has 24 years of service as a faculty member at TecNM/Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros, where, in addition to her teaching practice, she has also held various administrative positions. A graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, she has collaborated with different companies and educational institutions in the fields of systems and technology. Holding a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Teaching from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, her commitment to education has led her to continuously pursue teaching courses, professional development programs related to her field, and specialized diplomas. With experience as a director of innovation projects, she is currently responsible for the project being presented.

Professor Laura Alejandra Rosario López has a 24-year career as a faculty member at the Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros. During this time, she has undertaken various assignments in which her participation has been a key factor in achieving departmental and institutional goals. A graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics and holding a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to meet new challenges. Moreover, her ongoing pursuit of excellence has led her to continuously take teaching courses, professional development programs related to her field, and specialized diplomas. She is currently teaching in the virtual program of Computer Systems Engineering, in addition to her role as a face-to-face instructor in the same program, while also serving on several committees within TecNM/Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros.

Gabriel Gustavo García-Castillo, Tecnológico Nacional de México - Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros

Engineer Gabriel Gustavo García Castillo has 23 years of service as a faculty member at TecNM/Instituto Tecnológico de Matamoros. He graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering, and has had the opportunity to hold various positions in national companies and foreign institutions within their technology and systems departments. His commitment to education has led him to continuously pursue teaching courses, professional development programs related to his field, and specialized diplomas.
